How We Started
It all began with a family around a dinner table, a love for bold flavors, and a firm belief that pizza should never be one-size-fits-all.
When we opened our doors on Baseline Road in Gilbert, we had one simple goal: let every customer build the pizza they actually want. No compromises, no upsells — just fresh dough, real toppings, and a team that genuinely cares.
Over the years, Mod Pizza has grown from a single location into a beloved corner of the East Valley community. We've served tens of thousands of pizzas, hosted school fundraisers, catered weddings, and become the go-to spot after little league games across Gilbert, Mesa, and Chandler.
What hasn't changed is our commitment to quality, creativity, and the people we serve — both our guests and our team members.

Our Journey
2014 — The Beginning
Mod Pizza serves its first custom pizza in Gilbert, AZ. A small team, a big dream, and a line out the door on opening day.
2016 — Growing Roots
We began offering catering for local events, schools, and corporate clients across the East Valley — bringing the Mod experience to every occasion.
2018 — Recognition
Voted best local pizza by readers of the East Valley Tribune. We were humbled, grateful, and more motivated than ever to keep improving.
2020 — Resilience
When the world changed, we adapted — launching seamless online ordering and contactless pickup to keep our community fed safely.
2022 — New Menu
We unveiled an expanded menu featuring new craft sauces, seasonal toppings, and a gluten-friendly crust option following guest requests.
2024 — Today
Over 50,000 pizzas served, 35+ team members, and a community we're endlessly proud to be part of. The best is still ahead.

Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Sophia develops every recipe and sauce on our menu. Her obsession with flavor balance keeps our menu fresh and exciting year-round.
Operations Manager
Darnell keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. With 8 years at Mod Pizza, he's the reason our service is consistently fast, friendly, and on point.
Community & Marketing
Aisha is the voice of Mod Pizza online and in the community. She coordinates school fundraisers, local partnerships, and ensures our guests feel connected to what we're building.
